The dining options at Jacksonville International Airport have never been what one would describe as bountiful.

But the growing transit hub could soon level up its food and retail offerings with both national brands and local favorites.

The Jacksonville Aviation Authority will vote this week on new contracts that could soon bring V Pizza, Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, and Willie Jewell’s Bar-B-Q to Bold City travelers.

Host International Inc. would handle the new dining array at Concourse B, taking over nearly 4,000 square feet and investing roughly $6.3 million in the new amenities.

The plan builds on recent upgrades like an upgraded Chili’s Grill & Bar, finally giving famished travelers some choices worth leaving the gate for.

V Pizza, a Jacksonville-born favorite since 2012, has drawn fandom for its Neapolitan-style pies and delectable wings for mote than a decade.

On the retail side, Marshall Retail Group plans to mix local charm with national staples.

Shoppers could explore Postcards from Jacksonville, The Beaches @ JAX, Five Points General Store, and Seven Bridges Marketplace, alongside LEGO, Toys “R” Us, and Sweet Pete’s Candy.

Retail space will cover about 7,000 square feet, with $5.6 million invested in upgrades.

All of this comes as Concourse B construction barrels ahead, topping out last month.
