A 32-year-old St. Augustine woman was arrested last month for threatening to cut the throat of a resident of a senior community near World Golf Village, according to court papers.
The suspect was attempting to exit the Parkland Preserve 55 and over gated community in World Golf Village on February 22 through an entrance lane, according to an arrest report.
A resident of the complex who was trying to enter at the same time, and an argument ensued.
The victim said the 32-year-old got out of her white Chevy Blazer and approached her vehicle.
At one point, the woman, formerly of New York, pulled out a knife and said “I will slit your throat” before getting back in her car and leaving the scene.
The victim called deputies, who spotted the suspect at a nearby gas station and approached her.
She immediately pulled out a gray bag and turned over the knife.
An arrest report states that she admitted to brandishing the weapon during the dispute with the victim, who was brought to the gas station and identified her.
The woman was taken into custody and charged with a felony rap of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
It was unclear why she was inside the community, and she was later released on $5,000 bond.
Her case is pending.

Of course she was from New York. Unfortunately, people like her have done a lot of damage to this area.
