The Dough Show, a fast-growing Middle Eastern restaurant brand known for its theatrical open kitchen and regional comfort food, is now officially open in Bartram Park.
The Orlando-based mini-chain has taken over the former Moe’s Southwest Grill at 12681 Bartram Park Boulevard, near Baptist Medical Center South and the Flagler Center office park, marking its first Northeast Florida location and third in the state.
Founded by Omar Shawky, Ihab Mahmoud, and Mohamed Momen, The Dough Show began in Orlando just two years ago before expanding to Tampa.

Its move into Jacksonville reflects the company’s broader ambitions to establish itself as a national leader in the rapidly expanding Middle Eastern fast-casual segment.
“Our vision is to build an American brand that is in the Middle Eastern food segment of the U.S.,” Shawky previously told the Jacksonville Daily Record.
He said the team sees a major opportunity, noting that no single concept has yet emerged as the dominant player. “The Dough Show is an American restaurant brand strategically positioned to become the leader in Middle Eastern cuisine across the USA,” he said.
The menu draws inspiration from across the Middle East, anchored by Egyptian feteer, a delicate, layered pie baked to order with fillings ranging from savory ground beef to sweet Nutella.

Other offerings include slow-roasted shawarma, crisp falafel, and Turkish-style mixed grills such as kofta and kebabs.
All dishes are halal, and the open kitchen setup—central to the chain’s identity—lets guests watch dough being stretched, pies assembled, and meats carved in real time.
The new restaurant seats roughly 130 diners, including a covered 50-seat patio.
The owners also plan to introduce a breakfast menu featuring traditional Middle Eastern morning dishes as the location ramps up operations.
