The St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners has appointed Wade Schroeder as new Office of Management and Budget Director.
Schroeder has served as assistant director of the agency sine 2016 and has worked with OMB for more than two decades, officials said in a release.
“Wade has been integral to St. Johns County’s financial success, assisting in guiding us to an AAA bond rating while navigating the Great Recession, the COVID-19 pandemic, multiple natural disasters, and a period of unprecedented growth,” said Joy Andrews, St. Johns County Administrator. “His steady leadership and commitment to conservative financial policies have helped position our County as one of the strongest in the nation.”
Andrews noted that Schroeder helped to shepherd the county through the Great Recession, rapid growth and disaster recovery efforts.
Schroeder previously worked for the St. Johns County Clerk of the Courts’ Finance department.
The veteran administrator e holds a BS in Finance from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of West Florida.
