The Clay County School District is investigating a teacher at Ridgeview Elementary School for allegedly exulting in the murder of political commentator Charlie Kirk Wednesday at a Utah college.
“This may not be the obituary. We were all hoping to wake up to, but this is a close second to me,” wrote Kelly SteelMagnolia in a Facebook post sharing a news story of Kirk’s assassination.
In another post under the name Kelly SteelMagnolia, she wrote: “I am the new one in the group! Kelly Brock-Sanchez, providing love and support to 2/3 grades!”
A spokesperson for the school district said they are addressing the matter.

The views expressed in this post do not reflect the values or beliefs of our schools or district, and we do not condone the content in any way,” Terri Dennis, coordinator of communications and media, wrote in a statement to The Citizen.
“Our Human Resources department is actively reviewing the matter and taking action in line with district policy. We are addressing this situation with the utmost seriousness while remaining focused on supporting our students, staff and families.”
According to the school’s website, Brock-Sanchez is listed as a multi-grade teacher at Ridgeview Elementary.
A LinkedIn profile under the name Kelly Brock-Sanchez, which described the user as a “Behaviorist, Educator, Advocate and Interventionist,” has since been deleted.
The profile stated, “I am guided by principles of social justice, mental wellness in children & rock solid ethical practices.”
The post drew immediate ire online and was highlighted by conservative activist Scott Presler to his 2.3 million Twitter followers.
Presler tagged Gov. Ron DeSantis in the post.
