A teen suffered a severe head injury after falling off an electric scooter in St. Augustine Tuesday, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the scene near Casa Sevilla Ave. at 4:40 p.m. and administered aid before transporting the victim to Wolfson Children’s Hospital in critical condition.
The department said the teen was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Details of what caused the accident were not immediately available.
