This Brooklyn-bred husband and wife couple is bringing the BQE to WGV.
Hal and Jen Della Torre are already mixing the mozz as they prepare to offer some classic NYC Italian fare at a new deli slated to open its doors in September in World Golf Village.
“We are excited to be bringing a little bit of New York flavor to the area and looking forward to not only building our business but building lasting relationships with everybody who walks through our door,” they said.

The county recently approved a $236,000 permit for the build-out of the 1,400-square-foot eatery at 180 Registry Blvd., Suite 102.

Hal, a retired New York City sanitation worker, and Jen, a nurse at Baptist Hospital, recently relocated to Florida from Brooklyn in search of a less hectic existence for their young family.
“We have definitely found it here in St. John’s County,” they wrote in a Facebook post. “We are residents of Trailmark and we have immediately fallen in love with the area all the surrounding neighborhoods and the amazing people who live here.”

The transplants already have locals salivating with a few sneak previews of their culinary expertise.

One clip shows them stirring up a fresh batch of homemade mozzarella, and another touts an old Sicilian recipe for raisin meatballs.
“It’s a mix between sweet and savory,” they wrote.
The husband and wife are laboring around the clock to get the deli up and running.
“Now that we have introduced ourselves if you walk by us in the street, at the pool, in church, or even in Publix,, feel free to introduce yourselves and say hello,” they wrote. “We’d love to meet everybody.”
