BREAKING: St. Johns County deputies pursue “armed and dangerous” suspect in stolen Ferrari, chase leads to school lockdown

Deputies from multiple jurisdictions are pursuing a suspect in a stolen “light blue” Ferrari who blew through St. Johns County and proceeded into Flagler County at high speeds with up to ten cruisers in pursuit.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office originally said the vehicle was stolen out of St. Johns County, but later said the initial theft occurred elsewhere.

Parents at Pedro Menendez High School received alerts informing them that the campus was on lockdown due to the pursuit nearby.

Residents reported heavy police presence and circling helicopters near Whippoorwill Drive in Palm Coast.

Eyewitnesses reporting watching the chase in progress as recently as 1:45 pm Tuesday.
