Panera Bread will open its new Beachwalk location on Tuesday, May 20, the company said in a press release.
Located at 55 Beachwalk Shore Drive, the bakery-café will begin welcoming customers at 6 a.m., with a celebratory “bread breaking” ceremony to mark the occasion.
The café is the fifth Panera Bread location in St. Johns County, joining existing sites near International Golf Parkway, Philips Highway, and Old St. Augustine Road.
The Beachwalk opening continues the brand’s expansion in Northeast Florida, bringing its total to 25 locations in the greater Jacksonville area.
The new Panera will offer features designed for convenience and speed, including digital ordering kiosks, a mobile pickup lane, and a drive-thru. The café will be open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
To celebrate the opening, the first 100 guests in line on May 20 will receive a year’s worth of free “You Pick Two” meals, which allow customers to choose any combination of two half-sized menu items such as soups, salads, or sandwiches.
From May 20 through August 20, 2025, community organizations including schools, scout troops, and sports teams can host fundraising events at the new Panera location.
During each event, Panera will donate 30 percent of net sales back to the participating organization.
