The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is awaiting autopsy results for a person found dead by a dog walker over the weekend.
The body was discovered in a wooded area near Woodstork Avenue Saturday morning.
The agency said there were no obvious signs of foul play.
“However, circumstances surrounding the death are pending autopsy,” spokesperson Taylor Levesque said in a statement.
There is no threat to the community, and the probe is continuing.
Action Jax reported the presence of SJSO forensic teams at the cordoned off scene Saturday.
