One of the South’s most prominent auto dealers has sold his oceanfront Ponte Vedra Beach Blvd. mansion for $13 million, records show.
Randy Marion, who owns more than a dozen vehicle emporiums, purchased 723 Ponte Vedra Blvd. for $5.7 million in 2018, according to county documents.
Built in 2014, the 5,000 sq. ft. residence — which features 6 bedrooms and 5 and half baths — was originally listed for $15.2 million in April of 2023 before the Dec. 6 sale.
Agent Kimberly Bright of Compass Florida held the listing, describing it as a “Hamptons” style home with expansive water views and laden with luxury finishes.
Based in Mooresville, North Carolina, Marion is considered one of the region’s most successful car dealers and was given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the North Carolina Auto Dealers Association in 2022.
While he didn’t attend college, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by Gardner-Webb University and has become one of the school’s top donors.
Marion purchased the Claude Nolan Cadillac dealership in Jacksonville last year, and has been visiting the First Coast for decades.
Originally from West Virginia, Marion began with a single dealership in Mooresville before expanding his business across the state.
