Susan was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, grew up in Niagara Falls, New York, and has called St. Augustine home for more than 40 years. Her love for words and the English language began at DeSales Catholic High School in Lockport, New York, when she took English and humanities classes with the one and only Father Francis Schimscheiner.
She honed her craft early by writing term papers for her friends. Since then, she has been a contributing writer for a variety of local and national publications and is grateful to everyone who offers her the opportunity to “pick up a pen.”
When she’s not writing, thinking about writing, or reviewing what she has written, Susan spends her time guilting her three boys into visiting and searching for anyone who will play Scrabble by the rules.
