Now that’s a market shock.
A bolt of lightning struck the Morgan Stanley building in Ponte Vedra Beach Tuesday night, sparking a minor blaze that was quickly put out by St. Johns County Fire Rescue crews.
According to a Facebook post, the department responded to a blaze on AIA North at roughly 8 p.m.
Arriving units spotted smoke and flames coming from the structure’s roof.
There were no occupants at the time, and no injuries were reported, according to SJCFR.
The blaze was quickly subdued, and the damage was minimal.
The multinational investment bank and financial services firm was founded in 1935 by several employees of J.P. Morgan & Co., including Henry Morgan and Harold Stanley.
The finance giant is headquartered in New York City.
