A new World Golf Village Home Depot will open its doors on April 17 — less than a year after the county signed off on the area’s newest big box outlet.
The home improvement giant joins several other chain retailers in the growing commercial hub — including Buc-ee’s, Bass Pro Shops and Costco.
The 14.7-acre site at 2905 International Golf Parkway is located roughly 1.5 miles away from that cluster.
The location will be Home Depot’s third St. Johns outpost, joining stores in St. Augustine and Durbin Park.
The property will span 136,228-square-feet and feature a garden center.
A Walmart Supercenter is also in the works for World Golf Village, along with an adjoining Chick-Fil-A.
While many residents have celebrated the expansion of retail options in the area, others have bemoaned worsening traffic and congestion.
