A suspect pointed a gun at drivers and pursuing St. Johns County Sheriff’s deputies along I-95 Monday morning before crashing their vehicle, officials said.
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said all southbound lanes at the 314 mile marker are shut down as the investigation proceeds.
The suspect has not been identified, and their condition is unknown at this time.
A picture released by the department shows a massive pileup, with several police cruisers at the scene.
Drivers were urged to avoid the area.
