The palate pilots at one of the First Coast’s most unique restaurant destinations are expanding their flight schedule.

Hangar One Bistro in St. Augustine — where diners can gaze directly out at the Northeast Florida Regional Airport’s runways — will now be open on Tuesdays starting next week.

“Watch the planes take off and land as you feast on delicious Surf + Turf or treat yourself to spectacular dinner menu offerings like Rabbit Pappardelle, Stuffed Cabbage Rolls, Pan Seared Scallops, and Kataifi Pastry Deep Fried Crab Cakes,” the aerial eatery wrote.

The restaurant invited existing and future passengers to try a Tuesday Surf + Turf special — an 8 oz. top sirloin, three shrimp and mashed potatoes — for $25.

Hangar One will be open from 5 pm to 9pm on Tuesdays.

The venture, perched on the airport’s second level, opened in 2020.
