A St. Johns County Publix reopened Monday afternoon after a bomb threat was investigated and deemed not credible.

The location at 220 Front Street at Sawgrass Village was ordered emptied Monday morning, and the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office probed the incident.

The department had urged residents to avoid the area and to expect a large police presence.

Photos released by the agency showed the front of the Publix cordoned off with police tape before it reopened.
