Popular Big Box giant BJ’s Wholesale is ready for its Beachwalk debut.
The wholesale chain is putting the finishing touches on the hotly anticipated location and is expected to open up to the public sometime before Christmas.
A staffer said their membership center — which opened several months ago at the site– has been signing up locals at a brisk pace.
The 104,000 sq. ft. warehouse will feature produce, a bakery section, along with electronics and household goods and homewares.
You can fill your fridge and you car at the location, which will feature 14 gas pumps — along with an auto repair shop and an adjacent liquor store.
BJ’s boasts more than 240 clubs across the country, and the Beachwalk location will be Florida’s 41st location.
Founded in Massachusetts in 1984, the company’s name refers to the initials of Beverly Jean Welch, the daughter of the club’s first president.
He opened his first brick-and-mortar location in Springfield in 1981, and the brand has expanded rapidly.
