The River City’s profile continues to grow.
AirBnB has anointed Jacksonville one of their top trending destinations for 2025 not just in America — but across the globe.
“Located in northeastern Florida, Jacksonville boasts 22 miles of pristine beaches and year round sunshine,” the short term rental giant wrote. “The coastal city offers world class fishing, vibrant street art, unique museums and much more. Trending for 2025, Jacksonville offers family fun — and tons of sun.”
AirBnB analyzed user search data in compiling the list.
The River City joined top flight international destinations in making the cut, including Tokyo, Vancouver and Mumbai.
Domestically, Charleston, Baton Rouge and Green Bay were all selected as increasingly popular destinations.
“Experiential travel continues to rise in 2025; our data shows that guests are searching for destinations during major events like sports tournaments, concerts and cultural festivals,” the site noted.
Jacksonville was also featured in the Matador Network travel blog last month, where one local described the city’s unique allure.
“We’re like a beach town with a big side of country,” resident Jay Dodson told Matador contributor Matthew Meltzer.
