The owners of Camachee Cove Marina want to redevelop a portion of the popular Harbor Drive facility into a 9,000 square foot restaurant and adjoining parking spaces, according to an application.
According to its website, the marina currently has 230 wet slips, 4 lift slips, fuel pumps and a service area.
“Additionally, we are excited to offer a new “super yacht” dock in our entrance channel, that is capable of accommodating vessels up to 175’.,” the site states. “At CCYH, boaters can experience a vibrant community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about boating, fishing, and sailing.”
The new eatery would require an additional 76 parking spaces, according to the application.
Records show that the marina is owned by Stefan Johannsen, a prominent maritime businessman originally from Sweden.
Camachee Cove made the news in 2022 after it was reported that Russian billionaire Igor Makarov’s $7 million yacht, the Areti 1, was stationed there.
