Start your engines — and your appetites — good people of Beachwalk.
The rapidly expanding Ford’s Garage Chain is considering a new location in the lagoon-side community, according to the Florida Times-Union.
The popular chain immerses diners inside 1920s-themed Ford service stations packed with vintage vehicles and vast displays of old-time ephemera.
The outlet reported that the company submitted a JEA service request inquiry for the spot, which means they’re mulling 87 Beachwalk Blvd. near US 1 as a potential location.
If it comes to pass, the restaurant would be the chain’s second Northeast Florida location. A Ford’s Garage opened at 550 Outlet Mall Blvd. in St. Augustine in 2020.
The company currently operates in six states, and opened its first location in Fort Myers in 2012.
Co-founders Mike McGuigan, Daniel Kearns and his son, Zachary Kearns, tried to trademark the name in 2012, but were denied due to its similarity to the car company.
They signed a deal with Ford in 2014 to allow them to use the iconic manufacturer’s classic blue logo and insignia at their eateries.
The burger and craft beer-heavy menu features a wide range of comfort food, along with a full bar.
