The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office released chilling footage of a July 24 home break-in in Bishop Estates that netted thieves roughly $50,000 in cash and valuables.
The clip shows a masked and gloved intruder prowling in the outdoor kitchen at the rear of the home and peering through sliding glass doors to case the residence.
The suspects smashed their way in through a window to gain access. Police said the owner were on vacation at the time and not present.
The department said only one suspect was captured on camera, but that others likely took part in the crime.
Roughly $50,000 in jewelry, handbags and a safe were taken from the residence, police said.
The burglary took place around 9 p.m. on July 24, according to the release.
