Northeast Florida’s golfing jewel has never shined brighter.
Forbes magazine has selected the famed Ponte Vedra Inn and Club as the Sunshine State’s premier golfing resort for 2024, touting its elegant blend of elite links and luxury amenities.
The nearly century-old Inn destination, Forbes wrote, consistently dazzles visitors who “appreciate history and a beautiful oceanfront setting.
The oceanfront institution features two courses, a 30,000 square-foot spa, swimming pools, an 8,000-square-foot fitness center and a selection of restaurants and additional attractions at its Lodge & Club.
First opened in 1928 as The Ponte Vedra Club, the facility featured Northeast Florida’s very first golf course — and its reputation quickly burgeoned.
Designed by British architect Herbert Strong, the par-71 Ocean Course was improved with fresh grasses and other refurbishments in 2022, Forbes noted.
The par-70 Lagoon course, the magazine said, “is well-suited for short play.”
