A 62-year-old man died Thursday afternoon after his motorcycle careened off a roadway and flipped, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The biker was heading south along State Road A1A in Flagler County just before 1 p.m. when the accident took place.
The department said the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash but died from trauma at the scene.
The incident is still being investigated.
The victim has not been publicly dentified.
The death marks the third motorcycle crash fatality in Flagler County so far this year.
St. Johns County has had two fatal motorbike crashes this year after a total of five in 2024.
